David J. Hunt

David J. Hunt is a freelance writer living in Philadelphia. You can find his work in FanSided, the New Hope Free Press, Yardbarker, The Chestnut Hill Local, The Maria Liberati Show and The Temple News. He also interned with two Fortune 500 companies: State Farm and Jacobs.

David found his way into writing by becoming a contributor at his college newspaper and literary magazine. Over 200 bylines later, he never looked back. He's always looking for new opportunities in journalism, copywriting and public relations. He is open to relocation.  

When he isn't writing, he enjoys working out, reading and traveling.

Being a teacher in Philadelphia for 35 years was rewarding, challenging, and heartbreaking. Some of my friends and I thought we would teach for at least 40 or 50 years, so what caused us to retire?
